Time is running out for the White House to approve E-15 ethanol blended gasoline for use during the upcoming summer months. U-S Senator Chuck Grassley of Iowa informed agricultural news media that the deadline is May 1st. Grassley says the Biden administration could make the price of gasoline cheaper, if they would take the proper action by approving E-15 ethanol blended fuel, as they have done in the past.
Grassley says consumers will be forced to pay higher gas prices if E-15 ethanol is not offered as a fuel option, and since OPEC nations are cutting back on crude oil production by a million barrels a day.
Earlier in the month Senator Grassley had written a letter to President Biden urging him to approve E-15. Grassley was asked if he ever received a reply from the White House.
Grassley says the Biden administration is more interested in helping China by getting resources that are only available in China for electric vehicles as opposed to helping U-S farmers and the Midwest economy.
