Law enforcement handed out over 16,000 speeding tickets in Minnesota during a stepped up enforcement campaign July 10th through the 26th. Twenty one agencies cited drivers for speeds of 100 miles an hour or more. Donna Berger with the state Office of Traffic Safety:
That happened in Perham. Also among the worst offenders: Two motorcyclists clocked at 135 miles per hour in Olmsted County, and a 118-mile-an-hour speeder in the Thief River Falls area.
