Minnesota State, Augustana and Sioux Falls will represent the NSIC in the NCAA Super Region Three playoffs as the pairings were released by the NCAA Sunday afternoon.
MSU, which finished with a 10-1 record and won the NSIC Overall Championship, earned the number two seed and will host the seventh seed Emporia State (9-2) of the MIAA on Saturday at 1 p.m. This marks the fourth straight NCAA DII playoff appearance for the Mavericks.
Augustana finished 9-2 and shared the NSIC South Division Championship with MSU with 6-1 division records. The Vikings, which is making its first playoff appearance since 2010, earned the fifth seed and will travel to fourth seed Humboldt State (9-1) from the GNAC for a 2 p.m. kickoff.
Sioux Falls (9-2) earned the sixth seed and will travel to Henderson State (10-1) of the GAC for a first round game at noon. Sioux Falls will be making their first NCAA DII postseason appearance.
Northwest Missouri State from the MIAA earned the top seed and first round bye. NMSU will host the winner of the Augustana / Henderson State game.
