Three People Dead After Two-Vehicle Crash West of Tabor, South Dakota

Three people died and another person was injured in a two-vehicle crash that occurred Thursday afternoon west of Tabor, S.D.

Names are not being released pending notification of family members.

A 2003 Ford Taurus was traveling east in the westbound lane on South Dakota Highway 50. It collided head-on with a 1995 Mercury Villager which was traveling west in the appropriate lane.

Both drivers and the front seat passenger of the Mercury Villager died. The second passenger in the Mercury Villager suffered serious non-life threatening injuries.

At least two of the four persons involved were not wearing seatbelts.

South Dakota’s Highway Patrol is investigating the crash. Other agencies at the scene were the Bon Homme County Sheriff’s Office, Tyndall and Tabor EMS and Tabor Fire Department.
