The American Farm Bureau has named ten finalists for their Ag Innovation Challenge with three of those coming from Nebraska. One finalist works with grain, the other two with technologies, both computer incubators and robotics for grain bin safety. Nebraska Farm Bureau’s Director of Generational Engagement Audrey Schipporeit says the focus on the program from when it first started has shifted from rural entrepreneurial companies to farmers and ranchers.

She says those entering the Ag Innovation challenge applied between April and August with the finalists named the beginning of this month.

Schipporeit says it’s been exciting to see how the challenge program has grown in Nebraska and the innovations that have come forward, some of which she never expected to see.
