Nebraska coach Mike Riley says linebacker David Santos and two other players won’t return to the Cornhuskers.

Santos had major knee surgery after starting eight games last season and 19 in his career. Riley didn’t say in a statement Thursday why Santos wouldn’t be back for his senior season.

Riley also says that safety LeRoy Alexander and receiver Jariah Tolbert will transfer.

Alexander was suspended for the entire 2014 season for an undisclosed reason. Tolbert was charged with marijuana possession in June 2014 and again this past April.
