Three republican candidates are on the June primary ballot in House District 16 in southeast South Dakota.

Richard Vasgaard of Centerville is running for his second term in the House, but he was elected in 2020 from District 17. He says he wants to build on his experience….

Vasgaard says its quite a change being moved into District 16….

Vasgaard is a farmer and has been busy with planting which makes it difficult to get out and campaign….

Other candidates in the race include incumbent Representative Kevin Jensen and challenger Karla Lems both of Canton.
