The Gayville-Volin school building in Gayville was placed on lock down this morning after a threat was received.
Yankton County Chief Deputy Sheriff Mike Rothschadl says the department was notified of the threat made by a 16 year old male about 8AM.
The school was locked down and parents were notified.
Rothschadl says deputies along with the state Highway Patrol and game wardens responded to the school. The juvenile has been located and arrested and the lock down has been lifted.
