After capturing the Summit League Mid-Major Player of the Week honor early Monday, sophomore Ellie Thompson (Chaska, Minn.) was named The Summit League Player of the Week.

 

Thompson is the fourth Jackrabbit and member of the SDSU starting lineup to earn Summit League Player of the Week honors.

 

The forward averaged 17.5 points, 7.5 rebounds, 1.5 assists and 3.0 steals while shooting 51.7 percent from the field.

 

In a thrilling 89-86 double-over time win over Northern Colorado Dec. 9, Thompson recorded her second collegiate double-double with a career-high 23 points to go with 10 rebounds. She also collected a career-best five steals.

 

In SDSU’s first win ever at Creighton Nov. 12, Thompson tallied 12 points 5 rebounds and 2 assists while shooting 66.7 percent from the field.

 

Thompson is third in scoring (9.2) and second in rebounding (6.2) for the Jackrabbits.
