Dakotafest named a woman rancher as the recipient of this year’s “Woman in Agriculture” award.  VeaBea Thomas of Harrold, South Dakota was honored on Thursday.  She says she is appreciative of the recognition.  Thomas currently serves as the president of the South Dakota Beef Industry Council which oversees the state beef check-off program and finances research, promotion, and education projects.  Thomas was one of five women finalists for the award.
