Nebraskans from the Thomas More Society set up a nativity scene this week in the rotunda of the Iowa State Capitol for the first time. Martin Concannon, with the group’s Omaha chapter, says the display raises a lot of questions
Concannon says the Thomas More Society isn’t trying to be confrontational but to simply spread the good news of the Christmas season. A sign is posted, saying the nativity scene is not sponsored by the state.
Concannon says they received permission to place the nativity scene in the rotunda.
