A new survey finds one-third of Nebraskans do -not- have a life insurance policy. Triple-A-Nebraska spokesman Nick Jarmusz says most of us don’t like to think about our own mortality, but it’s essential to have a plan in place for the inevitable.

While many people don’t have a policy or don’t have enough coverage, Jarmusz notes it only takes one accident or terminal illness to leave your family in serious financial trouble.

If the expense is a concern, Jarmusz suggests checking with an agent to find coverage that’s affordable and which would provide at least some coverage.
