Welcome to the Weekend File, a public affairs presentation of WNAX News….
The Yankton City Commission is moving swiftly toward implementing new wastewater rates needed to pay for a major upgrade and renovation of the existing plant.
City Environmental Services Director Kyle Goodmanson explained the status of the expansion and the proposed rate increases at a commission work session this week….

The proposal to raise rates will be in front of the commission next month. If they approve them as expected, the new rates would take effect on November first.
