Medical professionals continue to deal with the evolving coronavirus pandemic. While infection numbers are spiking in many areas of the country, much lower numbers are seen locally and in the region.
In our first segment, we talk to Yankton Doctor Mike Pietila, who heads up the intensive care unit at Avera Sacred Heart Hospital. He says so far, people have been able to help control the spread of the virus..

Dr Tim Ridgway has been named vice president of Health Affairs and Dean of the Sanford School of Medicine at the University of South Dakota.
Ridgway will succeed Dr Mary Nettlemen, who is retiring and says she will be tough to follow…
