The Nebraska Office of Highway Safety renewed funding for another three months of the State Patrol’s education program.
Captain Jamey Balthazor (BAL-thuh-zohr) says his troopers have been busy the past three months demonstrating the importance of using a seat belt.
The target audience is teenagers, who represent the highest number of unbelted fatalities.
Balthazor says teenagers are listening.
The State Patrol demonstrated its Rollover Simulator, Seat Belt Convincer, and Driving Simulator to 18-thousand Nebraskans from January through March.
