Conservation officers throughout Nebraska are on the lookout for a deadly disease in deer.
It is known as E-H-D or Blue Tongue virus.
Big Game Disease and Research Program manager Todd Nordeen says the disease starts to show up this time of year.
The virus, which is spread by biting bugs is thought to be what killed 15 deer in Cedar County.
Nordeen says it can dramatically reduce a population of deer.
Nordeen says the bug dies off after the first frost.
