A University of Nebraska-Lincoln professor’s arrest in Alexandria, Virginia has one state senator questioning the universities tenure policy.
University of Nebraska-Lincoln instructor Patricia Hill was arrested for spraying fake blood onto the property of NRA lobbyist Chris Cox. She faces a misdemeanor charge of destruction of property. A second, tenured professor from the university was also in Alexandria to protest outside the same home. Senator Steve Erdman says the instructors need to be disciplined, not for their beliefs but for their actions
Erdman says the university’s response has been weak so far….
The only action taken by the university thus far has been to release a statement that says “The university has nothing to do with these events.
Erdman says if what he considers to inappropriate conduct by professors continues, he and other state senators will discuss changing how tenure works at the university.
