The Government Operations and Audit Committee of the South Dakota Legislature meets today in Pierre.
One of their agenda items is discussion of the four technical institutions in the state.
Committee member, Representative Jean Hunhoff of Yankton says that goes back to the sales tax increase passed by this year’s legislature for higher teacher pay. She says tech school pay is not necessarily based on academics……

The University of South Dakota was given the active management role in the center last year.
