Teachers in south east South Dakota are invited to Mount Marty College’s (MMC) Professional Development Institute this summer. Debbi McCuin is the Institute Director. She says for a very low sum, teachers can invest fifteen hours for one hour of credit

McCuin says a survey was given to Yankton school teachers asking which topics they would be interested in developing course work on. MMC took the top four ideas and found some instructors in the area who would be willing to come to Yankton in June.

McCuin says most states require an update in the current education practices

These one-credit graduate workshops cost $50 per credit and include 15 hours of resident instruction.
