A pair of one-run victories by TCU and Virginia made for exciting Sunday action at the College World Series in Omaha.
TCU notched an eighth inning run to claim a 3-2 win over Texas Tech in the first game Sunday. Virginia scored a run with two out in the ninth inning to win the nightcap over Mississippi 2-1.
Monday’s second round play includes an elimination game between Texas and Lousiville followed by a winner’s bracket game featuring UC Irvine and Vanderbilt.
