Tax Levies Rise to Fund South Dakota School Budgets

As the Yankton School Board approved their thirty million dollar budget for the new school year this week, they also approved the tax levies needed to fund it.

Those taxes will be going up for all classes of property, ag, non-ag and business.
Superintendent Wayne Kindle says they district doesn’t have many choices…

Tax levies will rise two to four cents per thousand dollars of valuation.
