State officials say average tax credits for those buying health insurance through MNsure are three times higher than last year, and over 57 percent of enrollees are eligible for some type of financial help. MNsure C-E-O Allison O’Toole says when premiums increased, so did tax credits
O’Toole says credits appear right on the person’s monthly statement. There’s an estimator on the MNsure website. Open enrollment ends December 15th for health insurance policies that begin January 1st, but there are enrollment caps for some insurers and O’Toole urges people to sign up sooner rather than later.
