Tariffs Offset Tax Cuts

A report this week from Bloomberg said that the ongoing trade wars and tariffs will wipe out most of the benefits from the tax cuts of 2017. Research (from the Urban-Brookings Tax Policy Center) shows the average middle earner got a tax cut of about nine hundred thirty dollars. The tariffs have cost those same earners about eight hundred thirty dollars.
