Taiwan Purchasing Nebraska Grains And Meats

Wednesday, Nebraska and Taiwanese officials announced an agreement where Taiwan will purchase over $400 million in meat and grain from Nebraska. Governor Pete Ricketts says the official agreement will be signed in Taiwan next week when Nebraska State Ag Director Greg Ibach travels there.

Taiwan Director General Jerry Chang says this is the first time his country has agreed to purchase Nebraska pork and beef.

Nebraska State Ag Director Greg Ibach says they’re pleased to be able to provide beef and pork to Taiwan and hope in the future to add poultry.

The sale includes Nebraska corn, soybeans, wheat, DDGs, beef and pork.
