T-Wolves Have Another Injury

Just when the Minnesota Timberwolves appeared to be getting some good news on the injury front, they suffered another blow.

The Wolves say forward Shabazz Muhammad will miss at least the next two weeks with a strained oblique.

Muhammad has been one of the few bright spots for a team that has lost 15 straight games. In his second season, he has emerged as a reliable offensive option. Over the previous 20 games, Muhammad was averaging 17.4 points and 4.9 rebounds while shooting 49 percent.

The Wolves are hoping Nikola Pekovic and Kevin Martin will be returning from long absences fairly soon. Ricky Rubio is still working his way back from a badly sprained ankle that has kept him out since Nov. 7.

The Wolves play at Indiana on Tuesday.
