Sweet Sixteen Bid For SDSU Women

For the third time in program history, the South Dakota State women’s basketball team (27-6) will play for a spot in the Sweet 16 when it plays No. 3 seed and 12th-ranked Syracuse (25-8) Monday at 6 p.m. in the 2019 NCAA Tournament at the Carrier Dame in Syracuse, New York.

The winner of Monday’s game advances to the Sweet 16 in Portland, Oregon, March 29 and 31.

Winners of its last 17 games, SDSU won its opening round game, 76-65 over 11th-seeded Quinnipiac Saturday. Two-time Summit League Player of the Year and three-time Championship MVP Macy Miller led three Jackrabbits in double figures with a game-high 28 points and 11 rebounds.

The game can be heard on 570 WNAX and seen on ESPN.
