The Yankton County Sheriffs Office is investigating a suspicious death. Sheriff Jim Vlahakis says the body of 61 year old Deborah Lynne Schock was found in a mobile home on Vote Street last Saturday. Family members had found her and notified law enforcement. Preliminary investigation indicated the victim had been dead for several days. Vlahakis says an autopsy was conducted but final results are not available.
The Sheriffs Office now says that 21 year old Dylan Lopez of Yankton was arrested early Saturday morning. Vlahakis says Lopez has been charged with homicide as murder in the first degree. He is currently being held in the Yankton County Jail on a one million dollar cash bond.
