Surplus Rolls Over in State of South Dakota Budget

South Dakota state government ended the 2018 fiscal year by rolling over just under seventeen million dollars into the reserve fund. That was a combination of higher than expected tax revenue, and lower spending.

Representative Jean Hunhoff of Yankton, a member of the Appropriations Committee, says she has questions about the unspent money….

Hunhoff says there is some good news in the higher taxes…..

The interim Appropriations Committee meets next week in Pierre.
