Minnesota Timberwolves shooting guard Jimmy Butler has undergone minor surgery on his right hand.

The Timberwolves announced that Butler had the elective procedure earlier this week. The team said Butler has already returned to offseason activities.

Butler missed 21 games last season with a right knee injury. He averaged 22 points and helped lead the Timberwolves to the playoffs after arriving in a trade with Chicago.
