The National Sunflower Association is holding its annual research forum in Fargo on Tuesday and Wednesday.  NSA Executive Director John Sandbakken says between 150 and 200 people are expected to attend to hear the results of the latest sunflower research.

He says they will look at new hybrids and genetics at the forum as well as how to prevent various sunflower diseases.

Sandbakken says he expects more sunflower acres to be seeded this spring.

Researchers from North Dakota, South Dakota, Iowa, Nebraska and Kansas along with USDA will all be at the event.
