South Dakota State sophomore Cece Limongi registered her first-career goal in the second semifinal of the #Summit League women’s soccer championships to top third-seeded Oral Roberts, 1-0, Thursday in Brookings.
The Jackrabbits (15-4-1), who clinched a spot in Saturday’s title game with the victory, blasted the Golden Eagles’ defense all evening with 15 total shots, firing 10 on target.
Maggie Smither posted her 14th shutout of the season.
The Jackrabbits will play No. 1 seed Denver on Saturday at Noon CT. This will be the first meeting between the Pioneers and the Jackrabbits in the title game since 2014.
