The Summit League released its men’s and women’s basketball schedules for the upcoming 2018-19 seasons.

Both slates begin on Friday, Dec. 28, and will feature 72 games for each gender. Additionally, all nine Summit League teams on the men’s and women’s side are set to play a 16-game, double round-robin league schedule. The league docket increased by two games compared to seasons past given the addition of North Dakota to The Summit League.

The 2018-19 men’s and women’s basketball season will once again culminate in Sioux Falls, S.D., inside the Denny Sanford PREMIER Center, March 9-12.

The 2017-18 regular season and tournament men’s champion South Dakota State Jackrabbits open their league campaign with three-straight road contests: Western Illinois (Dec. 28), Purdue Fort Wayne (Jan. 3) and South Dakota (Jan. 6)

South Dakota State and South Dakota will meet in a rematch of the 2018 Summit League Championship game in Vermillion on Jan. 6 and again in Brookings on Feb. 23.

For the women, The Jackrabbits (tournament champs) and Coyotes (2017 regular-season champs and tournament runners-up) face off in Vermillion on Jan. 6 and in Brookings on Feb. 24.
