Fourteen Summit Leaguers are bound for national track and field championships in Eugene, Ore., following their qualifying performances at the 2018 NCAA West Preliminary Round over the weekend in Sacramento, Calif.

This is the second-straight season and third time in the last four years the league will send at least 10 representatives to the national meet. Before 2015, the league never had more than nine participants at the outdoor national meet in a single year.

The largest contingency belongs to South Dakota, who punched a program-record six tickets to Historic Hayward Field. North Dakota State followed with four student-athletes earning a combined five bids, while Oral Roberts qualified two athletes. Omaha and South Dakota State will each send one competitor to NCAA’s as well.

Among the qualifiers:

Zack Anderson // High Jump // South Dakota
• Cleared 7-1.00 (2.16m) on his first attempt to punch his ticket to nationals
Lara Boman // Hammer // South Dakota
• Earned her bid in the hammer with a seventh-place toss (204-8, 62.39m)
Jake David // Pole Vault // South Dakota
• Claimed the final pole vault ticket to Eugene
