Summit League Losing School?

An announcement Tuesday could reduce the size of the Summit League by one school.

Purdue University Fort Wayne sent out a brief release Monday indicating a major announcement about its sports programs.

A news conference is scheduled on campus for 9 a.m. central time.

No further information was given, but there have been reports of the Summit League’s easternmost school looking to play in a league closer to home. The Horizon League would be the most logical fit.

The Summit League currently has nine schools and will be welcoming Missouri Kansas City back into the league next year.
