Summit League officials announced award winners prior to the start of the conference softball tournament.

South Dakota State softball players Ali Herdliska, Lyndsey Crist and Abbey Murphy earned All-Summit League honors.

South Dakota seniors Yvon Minogue, Madison Frain and Katie Cochran were named to the all-Summit League team. All three players are repeat all-Summit League honorees. Minogue and Frain were named to the first team while Cochran earned second-team honors.

The tournament opens Wednesday at 3 p.m. at the Ellig Sports Complex when the No. 5-seeded Jackrabbits take on in-state rival and No. 5 seeded South Dakota.
