Even though we haven’t hit Labor Day, the unofficial end to summer yet, public health officials are talking about flu shots.

Deb Scholten, Director of the Northeast Nebraska Public Health Department in Wayne, says this year’s vaccine should have a similar formula to last years……

Scholten says its important that people get their flu shots….

Scholten says the flu is usually more deadly than some of the headline viruses we hear about….

Scholten says most people can get flu shots for free under the wellness portion of their health insurance. Other low cost clinics are held around the region.
