The Substance Abuse Prevention Study committee of the South Dakota Legislature met again this week in Pierre.
The group was put together to study drug abuse issues, and talk about possible solutions.
Committee Co-chair, Representative Mike Stevens of Yankton, says they listened to several experts on prescription drug abuse….
Stevens says education will have to be part of any drug prevention program…..

Stevens says one area with no apparent answers is how to help former drug users get their lives put back together…..

Stevens says while they don’t have any future meetings planned now, they will have a teleconference next month, and possibly set another full meeting later this fall.
