Strong Winds Prevail Across Midwest

If you believe the winds have been stronger this year, than in recent previous years, you would be correct.  Dennis Todey ( the Director of the USDA Midwest Climate Hub says April is traditionally our windiest month.

Todey says we have indeed had some strong winds, but to compare it with other years is difficult due to the lack of records.

Todey says it is likely to continue to be windy through April, but he expects the winds will be calmer during late spring heading into summer.
