A severe storm over the weekend that dropped two tornados in Edmunds County South Dakota did significant structural damage to one farm but most of the crops received minimal damage. Edmunds County Farm Service Agency Director Paula Petersen says the tornado destroyed a storage shed, hit a farm house, and knocked out two tractor windshields.
Petersen says sporadic rain blanketed the county dropping between a quarter inch to five and a half inches. She says the rain further delayed an already slow moving wheat harvest.
Petersen says she heard reports of some hail in neighboring Brown County but most of that occurred in town and not in the country.
