112 members of Congress have written Ag Secretary Tom Vilsack asking USDA to drop Country of Origin Labeling if the World Trade Organization rules against the U.S. and in favor of Mexico and Canada.  South Dakota Stock Grower’s Executive Director Silvia Christen says despite what the WTO rules, COOL should stay intact.

Christen says Ag Secretary Tom Vilsack has been a good supporter of COOL and doesn’t see him changing his stance on the issue.

In their letter the Congress people indicated their concern about the possible detrimental impact to the nation’s economy if the U.S. loses at the WTO.
