STC Executive Director Says Leaders Need To Quit Bickering And Address Infrastructure

Political squabbling between President Donald Trump and Congressional leaders Nancy Pelosi and Chuck Schumer prevented the trio from moving forward on a plan for infrastructure legislation. House Speaker Pelosi said the President is “in a cover up” and the President responded “I don’t do cover ups”. Soy Transportation Coalition Executive Director Mike Steenhoek says the leaders need to get past the bickering and move ahead on an infrastructure plan.

He says they need to quit vying for credit for proposing and moving the legislation and just get the job done.

Steenhoek says agriculture and the entire American economy needs infrastructure concerns dealt with or the economic harm will be severe.

Steenhoek is hoping a thoughtful discussion on infrastructure will be taken up by the leaders in the very near future.
