The states are getting more details about their role with the mandatory Porcine Epidemic Diarrhea Virus or PEDV reporting recently announced by USDA. Minnesota Pork Producers Executive Director Dave Preisler says they’ve been working with the state diagnostic lab and Board of Animal Health to define what producers will be required to report.
He says the goal is to make the process simple and still protect producer confidentiality.
Preisler says the most important thing is for producers to be working closely with their veterinarian.
