State bragging rights will be up for grabs Saturday afternoon, when the fifth-ranked South Dakota State University football team travels to Vermillion to take on the University of South Dakota.
Kickoff is set for 1 p.m. at the DakotaDome. The game is scheduled to be televised live by Midco Sports Net and can be heard on 570 WNAX and across the Jackrabbit Football Network.
The Jackrabbits enter the in-state rivalry game with a 7-2 overall record and 4-2 mark in the Missouri Valley Football Conference following a 25-20 home victory over then-No. 2 Illinois State on Nov. 7.
USD, meanwhile, also has playoff aspirations as it enters Saturday’s contest 5-4 overall and 3-3 in league play. The Coyotes knocked off Southern Illinois, 34-31, last Saturday at the DakotaDome.
