State of South Dakota Helped North Dakota Law Enforcement at Protest Site

South Dakota Governor Dennis Daugaard says state Highway Patrol troopers have been helping at the Dakota Access pipeline protest site in North Dakota to maintain order, and not to oppose any of the states Indian tribes.
The Crow Creek tribe has withdrawn from a mutual aid agreement because of the use of state troopers in North Dakota.
Daugaard says the state wants to work with state tribes…..

Daugaard says he believes the Standing Rock tribe understands why state troopers have been used at the protest site…..

Daugaard says mutual aid agreements between states can be used in many ways, and is not about politics…

Protesters have been attempting to stop the construction of a crude oil pipeline under the Missouri River.
