Governor Kristi Noem activated the National Guard and ordered them deployed in Sioux Falls as a peaceful protest turned violent. After marchers got to the Empire Mall from downtown, rocks were thrown and cars were damaged. Police then used tear gas and rubber bullets to get the crowd to move away.
