Those numbers included two-thousand 37 campers for a 20-percent increase and over 500 vendors. Grandstand ticket sales were up 26-percent. Twenty-two thousand 550 tickets were sold to grandstand events during the State Fair this year. Saturday August 30th was a great day for the State Fair. It was the largest attended day with almost 50-thousand people showing up and Gold Star Amusements set a company record for most carnival rides sales in a single day. Planning for the 2015 South Dakota State Fair is already underway. The dates will be Thursday September third through Monday September seventh.
