A special meeting date has been set for July 15th to make a decision on one of the proposals regarding road and bridge funding in Yankton. County Commission Chair Todd Woods says over the last two months, the commission has publicized the options put forth by the Road and Bridge Task Force
Woods says he understands no one, including himself wants more taxes, but he really wants whatever is passed to do good work on roads and bridges
Woods says he’s hoping for much more public comments than what has been given so far. He says the commission is working with what the state has granted
The July 15 meeting is also the deadline for passing any levy.
