Voters in Vermillion this week decided to keep two ordinances passed by the city council that had been referred.

One measure would add an extra five percent tax to the wholesale cost of malt beverages to help fund park and pool improvements. The other issue adds regulations to day care facilities.

Turnout for the special election was just under twenty five percent.
