Soybean Leaders Fight Clean Water Rule

The American Soybean Association is calling on Congress to take action to prevent the Environmental Protection Agency from implementing their Clean Water Rule. ASA First Vice President, Richard Wilkins says they want the whole proposal completely thrown out.

Wilkins says the EPA is bases the revamping of the Waters of the U.S. Rule from a minority opinion.

Wilkins says the intentions of the new rules were meant to establish certainty by spelling out what types of water are, and are not, covered by the Clean Water Act. He says the most recent rule creates more uncertainty and risk.
