Wednesday South Dakota soybean farmers announced an outreach initiative called “Hungry for Truth”. Marc Reiner Chairman of the South Dakota Soybean Research and Promotion Council says the campaign will start in January and focuses on farmers talking to consumers across the state about food and farming.

He says the primary discussion topic of the “Hungry for Truth” initiative is food and the focal point of the initiative is the kitchen table.

The initiative uses several methods to create conversations between non-farmers and farmers…including social media and advertising in Sioux Falls and Rapid City. There will also be multiple promotions to encourage consumers to join the conversation and reinforce the many shared valued they have with farmers and their families.
